Remembering ideas

I have to write this down, to remind myself what I wanted to do. Having some interessting ideas is one thing, but remembering them when you have time or brain capacity is something entirely else.

My plans for the near future are somehow connected. I want to provide some information/tutorials which I haven't found somewhere else on the internet, or only partial or outdated. Therefore I'll have to create a possibility for me to not only write these blogposts but also some subpages. It would be easy to use some existing framework, but as I have written it here before, I want to create my own small JavaScript-Framework.

After I have completed this, there is already a first "tutorial" I wanted to provide. Since I have worked with JSF and Primefaces before switching to Angular, there was sill much legacy software which was built with the Java framework. A simple way to modernize it was to convert it to springboot, but therefore a new connector was needed to combine the JSF framework Primefaces with the modern Spring way. Joinfaces provides such a possibility, but it needs a few tweaks and specific setting and this is what I will tell about in the hopefully near future.

And I will tell you in this place from more ideas so I won't forgett them.

BarcodeBrain

So I finally told the public about my tiny project to make it easier to keep some barcodes. It all started when I made more and more "Gurgeltests". These are the free PCR-Tests here in Vienna. To verify yourselve with your testkit you have to scan a barcode on a tine booklet with informations about the test. To receive your testresult you have to scan the barcode again.

With my BarcodeBrain-App you have to scan the code only once. Then you can copy it in the app with a single tap on the entry. You don't have to keep the booklet with the barcode since it is now saved in the local storage of your mobile phone. When you receive the notification with the test-result, you just have to copy the code in the app again and see your results.

It made my life much easier and I hope also for some other people. So simply go to barcodebrain.jakobs.io and start saving your codes

See you next time, Jakob

I was never really good at this

I tried doing a blog before. I few times. But I was never really good at this and I never managed to write in a more frequent way so that it would be interessting at least a little bit. But yeah maybe it will work sometimes in the future.

I know... but there is PkHax!

I always think about writing on a very regular and frequent basis, but it never works. I think about a project, and then comes another. So while this project has a more slowly start, I think I can present to you something else.

In the last month I created a database-website for Pokémon Romhacks. This website should make it easy to find all this great creation of provide a platform for them. Currently I'm working on a user-system to provide more and more features on them. But after that I will think about this page, I promise!

Maybe I will write again about my acomplishments on PkHax.com. I hope you like it.

See you :)

Hello World!

Hi guys,

welcome to my place where I want to try new things and share them with you. I´ll start with this blank sheet of paper without a content-management-system and without a framework in the beginning because I want to create something new from scratch.

Future will show if I can accomplish what I´m trying to do, but the most important thing for me is, that I want to share my discoveries and the knowledge from my research.

Furthermore I want to post about solutions for my problems I didn´t find in the whole wide internet so there will be a new source for people who have the same problems I had.

So I hope you´ll hear soon from me and that there will be some interesting information or solutions for you.

Greetings, Jakob
